Congratulations! You now own the classic arcade game, Frogger. The
goal of the game is simple, to safely maneuver 5 frogs across 5 lanes of
busy traffic, a fats moving river, three lanes of treacherous logs, two
lanes of swimming turtles, while avoiding snakes, alligators, and crocodiles.
Sounds Easy? You'll need lots of skill, and a bit of luck; as you hop
to victory, while trying not to become a highway statistic by leaving your
"mark" on the roadway(taken directly out of the manual). This game was
released in October 1998 and is the last new game ever.
Graphics [4/10]:
The graphics in this game are a vast improvement over every other
frogger game(except the PSX version). But they could have done a lot
better and you expect a lot better graphics from a Snes game,
especially the last one!. But everything like the cars etc. look good and also the
river and road look great!
Music and sound [2/10]:
First off there is no music anywhere in the entire game! The only
thing that gave it a 2 were some of the sound effect which were done very
well, such as the car sound when you get ran over or when you jump. So
if music is a important part of the game for you then you will hate
this game!
Game Play [10/10]:
This is the only part that saves the game! It is just a remake of the
original 1981 Sega arcade game with updated graphics! So if you loved
the original like me then you will love this game! But if you don't
care for classic games then you wont care for this one much. Its easy to get
addicted to this game and i play it a lot and i have had it since
December.
Challenge and Replay [10/10]:
This is a hard game, i have only made it to the 6 level so far! If you
loved the original game or want to see what Frogger is all about get
this game and you will love it! This is always a good game for a few
hours of fun and is fun with two players!
Conclusion/Overall [8/10]:
This is a great buy and you will never regret buying this game! Also
you can get it from about 14 to 20 dollars new! Hope this review makes
you want to go out and buy the last Snes game ever to be released!!
